I know that many of you have wondered about my silence. I had put the blog to rest and said goodbye to social media. I needed the break from some of the comments that had been and are still being posted. Some of you have sent messages to Carol and I wondering why so many derogatory comments have been about people in our family. It definitely has been a confusing time and more than heartbreaking.
Our focus has been and is still about Tina. Our hearts are heavy with this illness progressing so fast. Mom and Dad are having a very hard time and Carol and I are struggling between wanting to be there to help and the needs of our own families. It has been very hard to read comments that would insinuate that we don’t care.
I do want to share that some of these comments were intended to discredit my daughter and call my granddaughter names. For those that know my daughter, you will know how close her and Aunt Tina have been through the years. She was there with Tina when she received the diagnosis. She jumped in with both feet trying to help along the way. She scheduled appointments and often was there to take notes. She organized friends and family to be with Tina. She set up a food train to supply meals to the family. She took time off work, used lots of gas money, found equipment to help Tina as her mobility worsened and spent a lot of time in tears. Before being cut off from visiting, she helped to organize Tina’s 55th birthday.
As for my granddaughter, she is one of the sweetest girls that most people will ever meet. She is a real helper and has won the heart of many. Words can not express how much we love her. ❤️
I hope, that for those of you that know us, will realize that we love our sister very much. She is never far from our thoughts. Our prayers are constantly about her. Many tears have been shed since we first heard about Tina’s illness and there is hardly a day that goes by that we don’t cry.
Thank you to everyone that has been there for Tina through visiting, giving and praying. I felt that it was necessary to stop my radio silence so that you could see my heart. Thank you to all those who understand that we are SISTER THREE and we are STEELE STANDING together.
